From everyday strain to complex reconstruction
If it involves the hand or wrist, it's within the practice's focus.
Compression of the median nerve at the wrist — assessed and, where needed, released using the microsurgical technique built through MCh Hand Surgery training.
A tendon catching as the finger bends — managed with splinting first, or released with precise, minimally invasive technique when surgery is needed.
From simple breaks to complex, multi-bone injuries — fixed using fracture-reconstruction skills built specifically around the hand and wrist.
Deep injuries to the tendons, nerves, blood vessels or muscles of the upper limb, repaired with microsurgical precision.
Compression neuropathies such as carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel syndrome — diagnosed and treated to relieve numbness, tingling or weakness.
Small joint osteoarthritis of the hand and wrist, managed with a staged approach — medication and splinting first, surgery only when genuinely needed.
Structural differences present from birth, assessed early and corrected with long-term hand growth and function in mind.
TFCC tears, UCL injuries, Skier's Thumb, Jersey Finger and other sport or work injuries — treated with an eye on returning to that specific activity.
Reattachment of amputated fingers under the operating microscope — timing and technique both matter for the best chance of survival and function.
When a nerve injury leaves a muscle unable to work, a healthy tendon can sometimes be rerouted to restore movement and function.
Careful repair of fingertip and nail bed injuries, and correction of soft tissue deformities affecting hand function or appearance.
Stiffness after trauma or surgery is treated with a structured combination of therapy and, where needed, surgical release.
Tissue coverage for road accidents, sickle cuts, machine injuries and burns — moving healthy tissue to protect and restore an injured hand.
Diabetes changes how hand infections progress — assessed and treated with that added risk specifically in mind.
Prompt treatment of hand infections prevents a minor issue from threatening deeper tissue or long-term function.
Lumps and growths in the hand are assessed carefully, with surgery recommended only when it's the right course of action.
Injuries to the nerve network between neck and arm — complex injuries needing specialised microsurgical repair.
Real-time ultrasound imaging improves precision for injections and minor procedures around the hand and wrist.
Needles, glass and metal splinters lodged in the hand, safely located and removed.

How treatment works
Hand Surgery
Trauma care, deformity correction, and tendon & nerve repair — the core of MCh Hand Surgery training, planned around getting full function back, not just closing the wound.
Replantation & Tendon Transfers
Reattachment of amputated fingers under the operating microscope, and tendon transfers that restore movement when a nerve injury has left a muscle unable to work.
Flap Surgery
Tissue coverage for road accidents, sickle cuts, machine injuries and burns — moving healthy tissue to protect and restore an injured hand.
Microsurgery
Repair of delicate nerves, blood vessels and tendons under magnification — where sub-millimetre precision decides the outcome.
Rehabilitation & Physiotherapy Support
A personalised recovery plan starting from day one, so strength and movement return as quickly and safely as possible.
